How to write a complaint in CIBIL?

Nowadays, when a person received a loan from any PSU/NBFC bank, then the details of the Loan account with the repayment history are stored in several Credit bureaus. ‘Credit information bureau (India) Limited’ means CIBIL is one of them.

when a person applied for a loan to any PSU/NBFC bank, they check the CIBIL report of that customer. So, every customer needs to maintain the correctness of their CIBIL report.

If there is any wrong information showing in the CIBIL report then the customer can correct that by themselves.

Now, I discuss here in briefly “how to write a complaint in CIBIL?”. Which is a more effective way to get solutions to any problems related to CIBIL.

Firstly, you have to raise a dispute in CIBIL and collect the ‘Dispute Id’. Then you write on the CIBIL website, where you can attach the necessary documents with that letter.

Here, I try to explain the process step by step with an example of my customer, Mukul Banerjee. So, I great full to him.

Step1:  Here, I discuss how to open the complaint form.

1. Open the CIBIL website through this link www.cibil.com

Picture 8: Form for re-complaint

A complaint form will open to you like in picture 8. If you already submitted a complaint then you must have a Service Request Number. Put your email id & the Service Request Number. But if you are writing a complaint first time for a particular dispute, then click on “New Application”.

Picture 9: Complaint form for a new applicant.

After that, an application page will open to you as in picture 9. Now, you need to fill in all the documents. Also, put the dispute id (CDS…..) which is collected after raising the dispute in CIBIL. Here you can describe your query in detail in the box.

Step2:

Now, I describe briefly how to fill out the form? what to write in the complaint box? and how to upload documents in this form? Where I take the help of my customer Mukul Banerjee’s credit report.

In this report, an unknown loan account is shown, which does not belong to the customer. So, I write a complaint to CIBIL about this problem.

i.                   How to fill out the form:

In this section, you need to fill in your personal details carefully. Customer name, Gender, DOB, Mobile Number, Email Id, Identity Proof (preferable PAN card), Identity Proof No. if you are a new applicant, then keep the Service Request box blank.

There is an option to put Dispute Id. So, my advice is to you to raise a dispute in CIBIL first, then write this complaint to CIBIL. When you raised a dispute then you must get a Dispute Id (CDS….). Here, you may use that Dispute Id.

ii.                   what to write in the complaint box:

In the query box, you can briefly describe your problems in 3000 characters. Here, I show you Mukul Banerjee’s letter as an example. You can write this letter in MS Word, then copy and paste it here in the box.

iii.                   How to upload documents in this form:

Here, with the complaint letter, you can upload your supporting documents like KYC (PAN Card, Aadhaar Card), your latest CIBIL report, payment receipt, No Due Certificate/NOC, etc. When you are uploading your documents, you must care about the following rules on CIBIL’s site. Those are-

·       Ensure the documents are not password-protected.

·       Upload the latest address proof wherein the address and transactions are not older than 3 months from the current date.

·       Upload documents with extensions such as PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF etc.

·       Max. the file size is 5MB per upload.

·       Max. 5 Attachments are permitted at a time.

Picture 12: Upload your relevant documents with the letter.

After uploading the documents, enter the characters shown in the image and click on “Submit”. After the successful submission of the complaint letter, you get a Service Request No immediately. You should save the Service Request No because it is necessary for the re-complaint and grievance process.

Now, I hope you understand the entire process, which will help you to correct your credit report.
